"IN THE BEGINNING"

Pastor Robert L. Ford and Lady Dorothy Ford has established the foundation of Greater Faithway Church Inc., with a small group of people in the month of March 1988.

Elder Jesse Ross dedicated and proclaimed Greater Faithway to be a "House of Prayer". From store front beginning (959 Ecorse Rd, Ypsilanti, Mi.). 1988 to an edifice at 855 E. Clark Road (1998) through periods of adversities, but yet giving to the needs of the surrounding communities the giving of food, clothing and shelter - yet holding themselves and ourselves accountable to the proclamation that was given from Pastor Jesse Ross, we have remained that " House of Prayer" dedicated to the Ministry and administer the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we became a body of people call hued out of adversities to become what we are now - "a people of transition ". reestablishing and growing in numbers.

Therefore, the re-dedication of this body of steadfast believers and new converts in 2007 changed the name from Greater Faithway Cathedral to Greater Faith Transition Center Church Inc. where we are now in this season of ministry.

With a new VISION, and a fresh anointing upon the five-fold ministry, we have included to the ministry here certified Chaplains; both men and women who comfort and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love as they established relationships with other religions and community organizations outside the Church, where they are able and qualified to assist in disasters comfort the wounded and the troubled, as they carry out the gospel mandate of Chaplaincy.

Pastor Robert L. Ford remains faithful to the VISION and his call to ministry. He and Lady Ford Dorothy Ford are true spiritual leaders for such a time as this. While standing in their most holy faith through spiritual blessing and natural adversities: they exemplify the scripture, Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be wary; they shall walk, and not faith". They continue to preach , teach and demonstrate to this body of believers to continue in "Advancing in Kingdom Work"..... for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.

Til we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowing of the Son of God, unto a perfect man (woman) unto the measure of the statue of the fullness of Christ... " Ephesians 4:12--13
